PANDEMIC
Do we know how many cards were in the discard pile before it was returned to the top of the deck?
I think we have to take the risk, we need cures to win (and research stations to be able to respond better to outbreaks). Two thoughts: CP, you can get to NYC or Madrid. Madrid's actually a bit closer and maybe harder for others to reach. Second, event cards can be played at any time, yes? So if we pick one up, we could choose to play it before hitting the Infection deck. If that happens, maybe it's worth pausing to consider?
PANDEMIC
I went with the consensus. The Researcher moved to Chennai in a dark back-alley handed over three red cities to the Medic. Then she drew Karachi(Black) and Bangkok(Red). The spread of plague didn't result in any immediate disaster with infections in Lagos and Taipei.

We're set up for a double outbreak of blue or a double outbreak of red. Nothing we can do about red this turn.

Ah, pity. I'd hoped you'd build a research station before passing cards. That would've let me cure Taipei on my next turn at least.
So I found I'm enjoying AC Odyssey a lot more after turning the difficulty down to Easy. I don't normally like to do that, but I really don't care for the combat in this game, so fights ending quicker so I can spend more time exploring and following the story has increased my ability to enjoy the game a lot.
PANDEMIC
Ah shoot, I did that real quick to squeeze in a turn while working. Didn't look over my options very well.

Maybe if we (finally) get an event card we'll find another option. Failing that, you'll still be able to cure both Taipei and Osaka on your next turn.
PANDEMIC
All right then. I will:
Double Move to Madrid
Double Cure Madrid.
I support having Contingency Orders for event cards.
PANDEMIC
After moving and curing, you have drawn Moscow(Black) and Kolkata(Black). You'll need to discard one card before the infecting takes place.

I believe we're unlikely to need
Johannesburg
so I'll go ahead and dump them.

Oh, and if you jump to Milan and we converge on St Petersburg, I think a Black cure may be closer than we anticipated.
