Mr. CP has moved to Bogota and cleared it out of yellow plague. The draw was Johannesburg(Yellow) and Jakarta(Red). Meanwhile black and yellow plague spread in Algiers and Santiago.
I'm starting to get that ominous feeling we are overdue for an epidemic.

Yeah, I've been kind of expecting one for a couple of turns now. Would've been nice to get an event card (WHICH OUTNUMBER THEM) first, but there you go.
Anyway, let's enact the plan.

So it was that the Medic moved to Bangkok and rid it of disease. Then there was an epidemic that hit Madrid. Plague then spread in Osaka where there was an outbreak and Santiago where things are serious, but not on the brink. Meanwhile, the Medic drew Lima(Yellow).

Osaka wasn't too bad for an outbreak, but that New-York and Madrid situation is a bit scary.
I could burn my Miami and take New York off the brink. That ruins the Chennai exchange plan, but could prevent an outbreak (or two if we got super unlucky and drew Paris followed by either New York or Madrid which would almost be the game).
Though looking at it, getting Algiers followed by Istanbul would also almost be the game.
I think defusing New York might be my best move. If I get lucky and draw a red, then I could cure red on my next turn.
Where are the event cards?!

I can get to New York on my turn and defuse it. I don't think we'll get a better chance to cure Red if we leave bt all by his lonesome over there.

Yeah, but if we get a double outbreak at the end of my turn, then we've only got three outbreaks left, and there are two chances of getting one. It seems kinda risky.

Do we know how many cards were in the discard pile before it was returned to the top of the deck?
I think we have to take the risk, we need cures to win (and research stations to be able to respond better to outbreaks). Two thoughts: CP, you can get to NYC or Madrid. Madrid's actually a bit closer and maybe harder for others to reach. Second, event cards can be played at any time, yes? So if we pick one up, we could choose to play it before hitting the Infection deck. If that happens, maybe it's worth pausing to consider?

I went with the consensus. The Researcher moved to Chennai in a dark back-alley handed over three red cities to the Medic. Then she drew Karachi(Black) and Bangkok(Red). The spread of plague didn't result in any immediate disaster with infections in Lagos and Taipei.
We're set up for a double outbreak of blue or a double outbreak of red. Nothing we can do about red this turn.

Ah, pity. I'd hoped you'd build a research station before passing cards. That would've let me cure Taipei on my next turn at least.
So I found I'm enjoying AC Odyssey a lot more after turning the difficulty down to Easy. I don't normally like to do that, but I really don't care for the combat in this game, so fights ending quicker so I can spend more time exploring and following the story has increased my ability to enjoy the game a lot.
