I like watching the videos on new games to get a good sense of how gameplay is supposed to work. I've been playing some games with friends over on Board Game Arena and it's been really helpful on games I don't know.

So, if I understand this correctly, if Bangkok gets one more red cube, Hong Kong & Jakarta & HCM City all get a red cube and Chennai and Kolkata get a black cube each?

Close. Chennai and Kolkata will get red cubes, not black cubes. And, fortunately, the three cube limit only applies to cubes of the same color.

It looks like we're well-placed to slam the door on yellow early. If Medic and CP head south, we can trade one card on each of our turns and clear out the existing infection at the same time.

That's a really good point. With the CP having Bogota and San Paulo and those cities right next to each other, it would be pretty easy to get them to the Medic. That's better than my idea of transferring Beijing to the Medic which will fill up the Medic's card limit too fast if we are going after yellow. It he CP and Medic head south to do that, then I could burn my Tehran card and fly there to start putting out that fire.
