I had to quit the fencing/swordplay games in my Wii because I kept unconsciously advancing on my opponent and it was putting my TV at risk.

Haha, this isn't motion controls, but yeah. I wish there were switch fencing games, and real boxing games too, with motion controls, I'd play a motion controlled punch out every day.
Apparently Beatsaber (VR game) is the way to go for that feeling.

Heh.
I just got a few more games because I got suckered in by a Steam sale. It's hard to remember it's not really a 75% savings if I never get around to playing it.
I picked up Life is Strange and Disco Elysium in that.
I just played the first 5 minutes of disco Elysium mostly to test out GeForce Now (impressed so far) and damn that is a super compelling opening to a game.
I've played through Life is Strange 1 and enjoyed it a lot. It may depend on how irritating you or not you find a certain character though.
The final boss in Jedi Fallen Order just killed me for 2 hours straight. Probably lost 100 times. Going to bed now, game not completed.
I will drop the difficulty to Story Mode tomorrow night if I get this stuck again but I'm hoping it will go more smoothly next time.
Oh, hey! I bought a Nintendo Switch in December primarily to play Breath of the Wild and have fallen back into gaming after a very long lapse. I finished BotW and also unlocked the Master Cycle, although at some point I may attempt to complete the Trial of the Sword beyond the first level.
I am now deep into Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I should put it down long enough to finish Link's Awakening and play some of the other games I haven't started.
Hi shrift! Welcome.
I haven't been able to get into Breath of the Wild, though I've tried a few times. I think I COULD get into it, it just hasn't quite grabbed me and my son tends to hog the switch. I think the kids are getting Animal Crossing as a present soon, so I'll be able to play it even less. Good thing the PC and PS4 are still mostly mine...
He and I started playing Dragon Quest Builders 2 on the Switch today as a shared adventure. It's fun! It's basically an action RPG but with Minecraft-style building and crafting as many/most of the missions. Despite not being particularly similar to breath of the wild, it actually kind of feels like it in some ways - you have goals, but you can also just cook food over fires and build stuff if you want. But the Dragonquest-style writing is much sillier and funnier than Zelda-style. Recommend.
I then played a decent amount of Horizon Zero Dawn. Overrode my first cauldron, though I died several times while doing it because I was trying to simultaneously watch Schitt's Creek, but it turns out the combat in that game can be tough when watching comedy. Definitely still into that game, and DAMN is it pretty. I keep taking pictures of beautiful sunsets.
I really want to play Breath of the Wild (and I say this as someone who hasn't played a Zelda game since A Link to the Past) but I haven't pulled the trigger on buying a Switch yet (plus my backlog on Xbox, PC and PS4 is already pretty daunting.)
HZD is absolutely gorgeous. It amazes me that it's 3 years old and is still better looking than some modern AAA titles.
I'm terrible at multi-tasking when I game. I've tried listening to the Critical Role podcast while playing games and the end result is I suck at the game while also losing track of what's going on in the podcast.
