I had a whole section about civic pride.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Henry Cavill is posting photos of himself painting his Warhammer 40K minis on instagram.

As if I didn't love him enough!

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Playing the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. (Spoilers for around the 15-20 hour marks.)

Even though I knew it was going to happen, Jessie's death broke me. The whole sequence with her blaming herself for the unintended destruction created by her bombs (not realizing that Shinra intentionally created a larger explosion to turn the people against her team) and being upset that she was making Tifa cry. And then her and Biggs' deaths essentially being for nothing. At least Wedge got to save a bunch of civilians before he went out and died while trying to save his cats.

I don't know how I'm going to handle it when the original game's most infamous moment happens.

Damn video game giving me feels.

My covid video game addiction has been XCOM2. I even have a video of one of the missions. [link] It's not exactly an impressive thing to watch, but my son had heard of it, but didn't know what gameplay was like so I recorded it.

I just started Zelda - Legend Breath of the Wild on Switch. First game on Switch, definitely a challenge to learn how to work all the controls in tandem.

I surprised my wife a Switch (she'd been wanting one and couldn't find one to buy) and she's been playing Animal Crossing like crazy.

I want to get a Switch just to play Breath of the Wild, but I already splurged on a PS4 this year. (My wife also wants one to play Animal Crossing.)

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Regarding Tabletop Simulator. I've never used Roll 20 so I can't compare and contrast. It's like an MMO but instead of characters you're just fingers and your open world is a table. You can import just about any board game. Does that help or am I being too broad?

I .... have not yet found any appeal in Animal Crossing. I was never much for the Sims, or Sims-like games. I find them tedious!

I played Stardew Valley a couple of times on my iPad, and it was the perfect awful confluence of tediously trying to create and maintain a farm while trying to generate an income outside of the farm while also figuring out the social side of things. I spent 8 hours one day playing Stardew Valley in the middle of the night, and was so exhausted that it was clear (once again) this is not the kind of game structure I find entertaining in a way that energizes me. It just feels like labor!

In between Breath of the Wild I've been idly playing Super Mario Odyssey on the Switch, which is very silly and very fun and somehow both exactly like and not at all like that Super Mario I played as a teenager.
