So the big GTA news is that some copies of GTA - on both PS3 and Xbox - are locking up right at the start of the game.
Rockstar has absolutely no idea why.

Does anybody here play Oblivion on the PC, Xbox 360 or PS3? It's amazing.
I play it on the PC where I've modded it up a bit. It's great. I've made two characters and may start a third, but not for doing the same quests. I'm only planning on using one to do the main quest. I'll probably be playing it on and off for a few years.
I just got The Orange Box with a gift certificate I got for Christmas. I got it mostly because I wanted to play Half-Life 2 since I haven't played any of them, but so far I've played Portal (short but great) and Peggle. I'm itching to try Team Fortress 2, it looks like fun even if I'll be annihilated.
Portal!
That is all.
(Weighted Companion Cube is love.)
Interesting approach, Gud -- I had a second character for a while (until I, umm, accidentally overwrote her only save file. Le sigh!) but rather than use different characters for different quests, I went for two totally different styles of character: my main girl is all about the stealth, and the second one was made expressly for mindless banging of heads. Great fun, and an utterly different way of playing the game.
Unfortunately it's hard to talk about Portal goodness without spoiling.
I can say that ending song got into my head.

Almost exactly like my two. The stealth and sniping character is a whole lot of fun, but I get through places a lot faster with my brute.
My favorite character creation game is Warlords. Warlord 4 gives so many different options for hero creation, 'tis ridonkulous. I've got characters who combine brute force with nature magic, nature and fire magic, dragonlords, dark elves, demons, endless possibities. I've run the main campaign through once with one of my heroes after I built him up to about level 20 (he's now at level 54, I don't play him anymore, there's no challenge.) I've got 5 other heroes that I'm in process of beefing up with smaller scenarios until I think they're ready to hit the big time.
Apparently, the GTA4 has landed. That, or knave is teasing the hell out of me by SMS.

Yep. Pete called me to let me know he has purchased his copy.
The cake is a lie.
Ha! Portal was the only game Pete played in recent memory that I enjoyed listening to.
