plays Export Duties. This card gives her 1 card when trading. It costs her nothing thanks to -1 cost from Investment Credits. She then draws 1 card from Public Works.
Ryan
plays Mining Conglomerate for 2 discards. This card lets him draw 1 extra card when trading a Brown good, and consume up to 2 Brown goods for 1 VP each. He also draws 2 cards in Phase V if she produces the most Brown. Finally, it adds 2 VPs to the value of Mining League.
Laga
plays Galactic Federation for 5 discards. This is a 6-cost development, which gives her -2 cost on future developments. At game end, it's worth 2 VPs per 6-cost development plus 1 VP per other development.
That concludes Round 7, but not before a little goalkeeping. Connie's play of Export Duties gives her 4 developments. She claims the "Most Developments" goal for 5 VPs. (She could lose it if anyone passes her.) It also gives her a Trade power, which with her other cards means she has at least one power in every phase. That satisfies the condition for the Innovation Leader goal, which gives her another 3 VPs.
