I have everyone's orders.
omnis: Phase II - Develop
Connie Neil: Phase V - Produce
Ryan: Phase II - Develop
Laga: Phase II - Develop
Well that should be simple. Phase II (Develop) is first. Everyone who chose this phase gets -1 cost on their development.
omnis
plays Expedition Force for 0 discards. This gives him 1 military strength (total of 1) and lets him look at an extra card when exploring.
Connie
passes on developing.
Ryan
plays Colony Ship for 1 discard. He may discard this in a later Phase III to play any non-Alien, non-military world.
Laga
plays Space Marines for 1 discard. This gives her 2 military strength, to bring her total to 4.
Phase V (Produce) is next, and is automatic for most players. Laga, however, has a choice - she can produce on Damaged Alien Factory, but needs to discard from her hand to do so. Laga, let me know if you do so, and if so, which card you discard.
I'm going to interrupt and say - I went to a gaming group. It's through my therapist's office and it was nice. 2 of the regulars didn't show. One guy broguth in 2 new games and there was some game that 2 girls liked but were voted down as being played too often.
We played Evolution which by the time we finished we'd figured out what to do. You make species and try to survive. And then there was time left over so some people played Dominion and me and 2 others palyed Splendor. Which I won! It took me about half way through for it to click but was lots of fun.
None of them had played Fluxx so I'm going to take it next week.
I highly recommend Munchkin.

Laga is down with the production. So:
omnis
produces 1 Blue good.
Connie
produces 1 Blue good, and as she chose this phase, she also produces 1 Green good on her windfall world.
Ryan
produces 1 Brown good on Comet Zone, and then draws 1 card.
Laga
discards 1 card to produce 1 Yellow good on Damaged Alien Factory.
And that concludes Round 3. Everyone, please send me your choice of Action card for Round 4.

Leaving the game aside for a moment, I came across a site that reviewed the AD&D sourcebook, Deities and Demigods. In a decidedly NSFW fashion. I present their thoughts on the Egyptian goddess Bast without comment: [link]
(I had this book when I was a teenager, but gave it away to my brother, who passed it on from there. A great shame, as I had the first print, including the Cthulhu and Melnibone pantheons. They were absent from future printings, due to copyright issues.)
I think they played Munchkin and it didn't go over very well. But if they start having 2 games at once there maybe at least 3 people who want to play. I'll ask next week.
Munchkin is a game that can ruin friendships. Everyone has to be in the right mindset for it to work well, IMO.
ETA: That commentary is hilarious (and definitely NSFW), BT.
Everyone has to be in the right mindset for it to work well, IMO.
I've only ever played it with gamer geeks and historical recreationists, so that may be the default mindset. It may indeed not be the right game for civilians.
Chronology is fun, if you've got history nerds. It's a game of figuring out where certain historical events take place on a time line.
