We did have one game where one of the players (Hi if you're lurking, M!) started accusing Baltar of being a cylon as soon as characters were picked. That noise drowned out the activities of the ACTUAL cylons for far too long.
To mix metaverses, never tell me the odds.
Of course, we do have a 50% chance of having two cylons right now, and after the midway point, it'll be 100%. Brig everyone! (Except me, since you have all seen my card).

You have roughly a 25% chance of having two Cylons now. About a 50% chance of one Cylon, and a 25% chance of no Cylons.
BSG
That's totally what I meant.

I know by the odds of the card draw I'm twice as likely to be a cylon as Roslin but c'mon you guys- we're gamers. How often does playing the odds really pay off?
I'm starting to wonder a little if the one "for sure" cylon card play wasn't a mistake or something, and we don't actually have any hidden cylons at the moment.
BSG
I was laboring under the impression that none of us were cylons until the f2f when omnis pointed out we did have that one "for sure" draw.
GM- if one of us were to suggest playing cards that seemed inconsistent with our strategy would you point that out?

It depends, though I will generally ensure you'd understand the rule-based implications of your actions, especially where the newbies are concerned. (I would not, however, point out that you'd missed an implication of someone else's actions for example - this is a team game, and I need to be fair to both teams.) I'm not in a position to guarantee whether any negative plays into skill checks were deliberate or accidental.

While we're waiting for Apollo's play, I would like to remind you all that you can give me COs as to your play into this Skill Check. (If you feel you need to wait till your turn to see what everyone else has done, that's fine too.)

That's what I was wondering. verry interesting.

Oh, and President Roslin, a reminder: you need to post a discard of 3 cards. 1 to move to Galactica, and 2 to activate the Admiral's Quarters.

Sorry -- I was having a domestic spat with Dualla over my constant sexing of Starbuck, and then my JAW wanted to go and get a few drinks, and you know how it goes. Anyway, I play two cards.

Let me stress this point, if I may, Oh Great Administrator. I think this is the hardest thing for folks to understand when they are coming to the game initially. Just because it looks like we are all on the same team, and even may be right now, by the end of the game there will be two cylon players competing to win against 3 human players. There are different thoughts on how to ferret out the cylons (or how aggressively you should do so), but it is a part of the game that if ignored entirely, will almost certainly result in a cylon win.
