What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

BSG (Baltar)

In my personal life, I have had a very good news/bad news kind of week.

So this turn pretty much keeps that theme going, holy frak.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Hey guys - sorry to interrupt, but I have a gaming question! In Forbidden Desert, can you move more than once per turn?

The rules say "You may move your pawn to an adjacent, unblocked tile for 1 action per move."

Because none of the other action descriptions say "per move" I interpret this as meaning that you may only move once per turn. But other players have argued with me that this is not the case, and that you can move up to 4 times per turn, just like any other action.

I've searched the boardgamegeek and reddit forums on this game, and apparently I am the only one who has ever thought this rule was unclear! So what say you, Buffista gamers? Am I being dense and making the game unnecessarily extra-difficult? Or am I correct in my strict textual reading of the rules and everyone else should just suck it up and accept that we lost three times in a row tonight?

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

ooh I haven't played Forbidden Desert but when rules are unclear in other games I've played the owner of the game gets final say.

I can launch and then play an XO. Is it time for nukes?

I don't have Forbidden Desert, but I do have Forbidden Island, and Forbidden Island rules allow you up to 3 actions, and a move is an action. And it is clear when something can only be done once "per turn."

So my interpretation is, yes, you can move your pawn 4 times if that's what you want to do.

Also, I have played Forbidden Island with the creator, so I'm pretty sure I'm playing that game right.

Um. I think so. Anyone else agree? I think Sector 3 looks prime for nuking. But we would really want a plan to help make it a sure thing, no? Anyone have one to help? (assuming I get xo'd)

I cannot help with a plan, only more shooting things.

I will launch into sector 5, Move to Sector 4, and Play XO-1 on Admiral Hoshi.

and yes, I do have a plan.

I've been XO'd! I stay where I am, NO MOVEMENT , and for my first action, I fire a NUKE on to SECTOR 3.

Let's see how that goes.
