Gaming 1: You are likely to be eaten by a grue
A thread for the discussion of games: board, LARP, MMORPG, video, tabletop RPG, game theory etc. etc. and all attendant news, developments and ancillary subjects thereof, as well as coordinating/scheduling games either online or IRL. All are welcome to chime in, talk about their favorite games or learn about gaming of any sort.
PLEASE TO WHITEFONT SPOILERS for video games, RPG modules or anything for which foreknowledge of events might lessen one's enjoyment of whatever gaming experience.
The online game in which I'm playing Dr Baltar [link] has just elevated itself to awesome. Admiral Tigh revealed himself as a Cylon in a truly masterful and gutsy display. Didn't quite pay off as he'd hoped (he was making a play for a Cylon sympathiser), but he still did damage, and the game's hit a new level in the subsequent accusations.
Especially for the people in the game over here, I recommend checking it out (say from about here - [link] - scroll down to the start of Tigh's turn). This kind of treachery is what makes the game such fun.

Boomer, you're up next. I'm sending you your card draw. Please post your move and action when ready.
Why is that a fail? I thought the check was a 7.
Oh, I see. We got a 0, not a 7.
And there is more than two bad cards in there, which means one was added by one of us.

And there is more than two bad cards in there, which means one was added by one of us.
Ya, I noticed that too. I didn't toss in. We know it's not the Admiral. :: suspiciously glares at others in virtual table ::
I have a movement, and an action. I opt to stay put in the hanger. My action is play the Blue card that allowed me to repair some vipers. I believe it was a Blue2.
:: grumbes... first I, a Raptor pilot, blow up the Toaster Mother Ship alone, then I try and save CAG, ALONE, now I gotta fix all the other broken Vipers, ALONE. There is a Toaster in our midsts, and it's pissing me off ::

We do have a cylon amongst us, at least one, and we know the following; it isn't Bill Adama and it isn't Boomer (at least not in this check.) We also know that it is very likely that the deck turned against us, because we had been skating by for quite some time.
Me, I've got my eye on you, Roslin. Baltar, you too. Roslin, there is something strange about the way you were all too happy to burn those investigative committee cards, valuable yellow cards. Baltar, frankly you have a greater chance of being a cylon than the rest of us, and you have been pretty quiet there in the lab.
Therefore I propose we have a change of presidency. I am happy to make either Adama or Boomer the president. I am not certain enough to brig either of my toaster candidates, but I think that I am suspicious enough to want to see the presidency move to someone I trust absolutely.

Boomer has repaired 2 Vipers. And not a moment too soon. Her Crisis card is:
Cylon Swarm
Cylon Attack! Space fills with the angry hum of Raiders heading for the Civilian ships. (I'll send details by email shortly).
Cylon attack cards do not contain a Cylon activation at card's end, nor do they advance the Jump Prep. Therefore this ends Boomer's turn. Summary to follow.

Admiral Adama, your turn starts now. Since you are in Sickbay, you may draw only 1 Skill Card. Please let me know which type you would like. Then, when you are ready, please post your move and action.
BSG
I will draw a Green card.
Then I will swear like the military careerist I am. Cylon Swarm is really frakking bad news.
