You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

BSG

Boomer has repaired 2 Vipers. And not a moment too soon. Her Crisis card is:

Cylon Swarm
Cylon Attack! Space fills with the angry hum of Raiders heading for the Civilian ships. (I'll send details by email shortly).

Cylon attack cards do not contain a Cylon activation at card's end, nor do they advance the Jump Prep. Therefore this ends Boomer's turn. Summary to follow.

I will draw a Green card.

Then I will swear like the military careerist I am. Cylon Swarm is really frakking bad news.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Holy frak!! Glad I fixed those vipers. I think making me president is bad, as we need me in a viper, especially now!! I'm already at the hanger, if that helps things along.

ION, in my flickr (bchas), are pics of me and Laga at airlocks. Not BSG airlock, but close enough.

Problem is, Grease Monkey, this is your crisis, which means that you won't be going anywhere for a while. However, the point of giving you the presidency isn't for you to take action, but to keep a potential toaster from taking action with the presidency that would be detrimental to us all. If we offer you the presidency, you'll take it and like it.

However, Admiral, if you wish to assume the presidency, I will back your play. Otherwise we gotta keep our fingers crossed.

Commander Adama, I assure you in the strongest possible terms that you replace me at all our peril. That you would even consider such a rash action at a time like this is folly in the extreme. And if you do choose to do this, Lee, you damn well better throw me in the brig, or I will round up the biggest, meanest specialists I can find and put you out the nearest airlock, then walk into the mess and have a sandwich.

Sorry to interrupt the festivities, but I also need to address Boomer's Recon ability. I'm sending her the top card of the Crisis Deck; she will decide whether to leave it on top or send it to the bottom.

Can I get a ruling as I'm deciding what my move will be? I think I remember reading somewhere that the Admiral can use a nuke from anywhere, not just from Weapons Control. So, for example, if I wanted to nuke the basestar I could do it from Sickbay. But I just re-read the rules and can't find anything about this.

OK, I've been reading your game on BGG, billytea, both with an eye toward "how do other people play this game?" and "how do other people roleplay online?"

This post is frakking awesome, and must be reposted here for posterity:

----

  • Ahem* Citizens of the Fleet, it is my sad duty to inform you that the insane God-Emperor, Saul Tigh, has determined to seize all temporal power in his gnarled, froglike hands. We, the Resistance, are pledged to once again restore the freedoms that the Twelve Colonies have enjoyed for these many years (aside from the small matter of that near-genocide a few weeks back. No political system is perfect, after all.)

Until we are successful in breaking his leech-like attachment to the teat of power, suckling hungrily at its milk of corruption (and occasionally demanding to be burped to settle his increasingly corpulent belly), I must inform you of the following changes to the legal framework.

1. Mondays will henceforth be known as "Tighday." As will Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Sunday will remain Sunday, in a morale-boosting exercise.

2. The Quorum will henceforth be addressed as "God-Emperor Saul Tigh's Happy Funtimes Backslappy Daycare Centre". Tom Zarek will be keelhauled (again, in a morale-boosting exercise).

3. When the God-Emperor makes one of his rare appearances, citizens are instructed to avert their eyes from his crazed, demonic visage, lest ye be struck down with the Evil Eye. Drawing attention to the muffled protests of "But there's a Raptor fueled and waiting for me!" emerging from the God-Emperor's pants department will attract harsh reprisals.

4. If anyone has a really nice chiffon gown, peach-coloured would be ideal, in the God-Emperor's size, you are instructed to make your way immediately to the Pradmiral's Quarters. Be assured that no harm will come to you as long as there are no stains under the armpits.

5. Referring to Ellen Tigh by her full name, Ellen "Bury me in a Y-shaped coffin" Tigh, is now punishable by death.

Rest assured, citizens of the Fleet, this tyranny will not stand. During this regrettable period, I myself offer sanctuary to its most vulnerable members. Any young, attractive women fearful that the God-Emperor might turn his loathsome, depraved attentions upon them may apply at my quarters to be concealed safely under the bedcovers until such time as I can assure you it's safe to leave.

Baltar out. ----

That is correct. The Nuke action is granted by the Admiral's card, and is therefore not location-specific. You could even use it from a viper, or the Brig, if you could figure out a way to keep the Admiralcy in the Brig.
