BSG (Baltar)
I did say that it was because he would be able to get out right away. I didn't see anyone volunteering and I know what it's like to get stuck in sickbay waiting for an XO that never comes.
Yeah, but, the bad part about not getting XOd out of Sickbay isn't that you have to sit in Sickbay through other people's turns, it's that on your turn you don't get all your cards, and you guaranteed that for Hot Dog. Pretty hard to see that as a kindness.
BSG (Hot Dog)
The thing that I find most suspect is that it was a decision made and then executed with no discussion. That's one of the hallmarks of toasterdom in my mind.
BSG (Zarek)
Oh, I forgot about Hot Dog's ability! Let's kill people more often.

EXCEPT WHEN IT'S NOT. Ahem.
But it's a real headscratcher. It deprived Team Human of 4 cards. I assumed Cally thought Hot Dog was a Cylon, but she's not giving that as a rationale, so I don't get it.
BSG (Romo)
At the time I thought I was doing the right thing. In retrospect I can see that I could have made a better choice.
BSG (Apollo)
I believe Romo, I think. It looks like he wanted input in the form of volunteers and when none were forthcoming made the best decision he could at the time.
It does suck that it ended up costing cards, but because Hot Dog moved to draw purple and then drew again on my XO instead of launching (which I'm fine with, btw) he only ended up down a card, right?
I'm not saying it was the right call; I don't think it was. But I do think it's possible for it to have been made innocently.
BSG (Cally)

You mean Romo, yes? I have no beef with Hot Dog, at the moment.
BSG (Zarek)
Cally, Romo, what's the difference, really?
BSG (Baltar)
One of them can shoot you in the face.
Ok, Romo, I'm not super suspicious of you, ftr. But also not suspicious of Cally. Everyone's got that nice background radiation low level suspicion going on, AFAIC.
And maybe you should have reminded us at some point that you were still in Sickbay. Not that I could have XOd you anyway, because of turn order, but sorry you got stuck.
BSG (Cally)
Damn, Baltar beat me to the punchline.
BSG
Apologies for the delay.
Hot Dog discards Protect the Fleet 0.
Finally, the jump track advances. There you go, there is at least one crisis card that's worse. That concludes Baltar's turn. Romo's cards are going out. Romo Lampkin, when you're ready, please post your move and action.
