And with that, we're ready to continue. Everyone else passes on interrupts. The check begins!

I can either help a lot, or not at all. How confident are we in the ability to pass this check, I really don't want to overplay.
BSG (Cally)
Not sure how much I can say with secrecy rules. Since I was in a "nothing or a lot" mode. I opted for "a lot". If one other person wanted to put in a little, in case Destiny frak's us, that would be great. I think another "a lot" would be overkill.
The Old Republic
So I've started playing the Bioware Star Wars MMO - even with the limits on F2P players it's still a Bioware RPG with eight paths through it that I got for free. I started with the Jedi Knight path and just realized something.
The interviews the developer gave when the game first came out said they realized people wanted to play like they were the characters from the movies - a smuggler like Han Solo, a Sith like Darth Maul and so on. What I realized is that they based the Jedi Knight experience specifically on Luke Skywalker.
Why Luke? Because the three companions I've acquired so far are clear expies of Artoo, Threepio, and Mara Jade.

Everybody's in, and the crew is feeling restrained:

Cards played:
Consolidate Power 2
Preventative Policy 5
Declare Emergency 3
Quick Thinking 0
Violent Outbursts 4
Tally: 10 - 4 = 6. Pass!
However, the QT-0 allows Athena to remove one card (up to 3 value) from the check and put it in her hand. Candidates: CP-2 or DE-3. If it's the CP-2, the check still passes. If it's the DE-3, it fails by 1, but may be rescued by a DE (including the one Athena would have just grabbed). Athena, when you're ready, please advise which card you wish to grab, if either.
One card she cannot choose is the VO-4 (as it's worth too much). That means that Athena is off to Sickbay. In addition, the JR-2 made this check Reckless! Will there be consequences? The top card of the Treachery deck is:
Exploit Weakness 5
It is not a 0-value card, so the crew escapes unscathed! (Except, as noted previously, Athena.) Finally, a heavy raider launches from the basestar, and the jump track advances. Once Athena has posted what she does with her Quick Thinking, Zarek's cards will go out. Admiral Zarek, please stand by to post your move and action.

Athena takes the CP-2. The check passes.
