So, here's the situation. Last night I sent out an email to a player. Unfortunately, instead of hitting 'Forward', I hit 'Send All', and it was sent out to every player. It contained details of the intended recipient's hand, which may also be sufficient to identify them. More seriously, it also contained some commentary that could serve to identify the recipient's loyalty.
In order to restore conditions of secrecy, I'll need to take some corrective action. Here's what I'm thinking:
1. Concerning loyalty, I can retrieve the player's loyalty cards and deal him or her a new one. A more comprehensive fix would be to retrieve everyone's cards and redo all loyalty from scratch. Only three turns in, I don't think any changes of loyalty would cause excessive whiplash. Nonetheless my preference is to keep the list of changes as small as possible.
2. Concerning the revealed skill cards, I believe the best option is to take those cards and shuffle them back into their respective decks, then deal out replacements to the player in question.
(As we're just on turn 3, we could just start over again, but that seems a bit drastic.)
What does everyone think? Is this ok with everyone, or does anyone have another suggestion??
