Excellent! Finally, a pilot who is smart enough to allow a knuckledragger to order other pilots around!
MOVE: to Command!
ACTION: ::static:: Galactica to RSV in Sector 6, do you read? You are ordered to fly over to Sector 4, and protect those civilians! Do NOT leave their sides! You are their only hope! ::/static::

Viper or assault raptor?
Meanwhile, I have COs from Cally: Move to Command and order the RSV from Sector 6 to Sector 4.
We're ready for the game's first crisis card now, and it's:
Starvation in Dogsville
President's Choice
Unfortunately, my work internet connection is currently frelled, so I can't send details. Basically there's going to be a die roll, and if it fails you lose resources. Either 1 Food/1 Pop or 2 Food.
President Apollo, when you're ready, please post your choice. Everyone, please send me COs for SPs and Calcs.

Administrative note: Hot Dog played an XO-1.

Assault Raptor
BSG (New Improved Gaius Maximus Baltar, Leader of the Faithful)
WOO ASSAULT RAPTOR
I don't even remember what they do that is different, but I am pretty frakking excited to see one in action.
BSG
Henceforth, assault raptors shall be known by the Cult of Baltar as "The Shiny".
BSG
Meanwhile, here's how assault raptors differ from vipers:
1. As far as any game effects are concerned, they don't. For instance, if a crisis card tells you to destroy a viper, you can pick an assault raptor for the chop.
2. When under attack, they are only hit on a 7+. Any hit destroys them. They can't be damaged; for instance, if one is picked for a crisis card that damages a viper, it's destroyed instead.
3. They have their own FTL drive. When the fleet jumps, a player currently piloting an assault raptor can choose to remain in space instead of landing in the Hangar Deck. If there's an unmanned assault raptor, the current player decides whether or not it lands.
4. You can create new assault raptors via a card in the Blue deck, "Raptor Specialist". When one is created, an ordinary raptor is destroyed (it gets converted into the assault variety).

Thanks, oh beneficent bringer of knowledge.
Good call, Hot Dog, The Shiny totally suits you.
BSG (Pres. Lee...Mr. President if you're nasty.)
Okay, my flock, what say we? It's early, so everything's at starting levels. I'm leaning toward dividing the hit. Opinions?
