I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Top ten?

Woot! ETA content: My addiction started with Dark Forces (Star Wars) back in the early 90s. LOVED that game!

Silly, you know I do at least.

ETA: Also, can you believe it was just over a year ago I was in your fair city learning this?

Of course I know you do! I just didn't know if you were here.

ETA: wow, I can't believe it's been so long. But that was just before SXSW last year, wasn't it?

Yes, we have the Catan games as well. I think we own Knights and Cities but haven't played that one yet, we've been doing just the bast Settlers set.

Settlers is great, but Cities & Knights is a quantum leap forward in awesomeness. Settlers is mostly about bartering, right? C&K keeps that, but introduces elements that cause all the players to constantly choose whether to work together or subtly screw over someone. There's all kinds of great strategy to develop. It's a little like chess and Risk and Monopoly all thrown together, only without the inherent tedium in the latter two. There's a lot of rules, but once you play it once or twice, you can internalize the rules and start playing on a higher level.
