If it's relevant to the immediate situation, you can claim to have a particular type of card, e.g. "I have an XO I can use" or "If XO'd, I have some Maximum Firepower I can use." You can never state you have cards of a particular strength, you can never identify specific cards you played into a check (or say what colours you played) and you can't just go listing put all your cards.

Okay then, the card that I have that might apply is Run Interference, but I'm not totally clear on how it would play out in this situation.

Run Interference is a defensive card. It doesn't do anything for your firepower; you can play it as an interrupt when raiders activate, and you can make up to four raiders in your sector miss automatically.

So we probably want Starbuck to stay where she is, since those Raiders will be moving into Sector 4 next activation.
Which leaves....Cally, do you think you'll be needed on the Hangar deck to repair RSVs, or go to Weapons Control to go pew pew?

Well, I don't know if I'll be needed on the hanger deck. But I could go pew pew if necessary.
Also for laughs I could just go randomly shoot someone in the face.

I kinda feel it's necessary right now, yeah.(And you can't shoot ALL my exes in the face....)
So I will Discard Sabotage-3 to Move to Main Batteries, to await an XO to pew pew pew.
and I will Play XO-1 on Cally.

Uh, I just checked the turn order, and suddenly XO-ing Cally doesn't seem like such a good idea.
Is it too late to change it to XO Gaeta?

Well, I suppose I will move to Weapons Control, buy Hot Dog a drink, and fire on the basestar in Sector 3.
