Gaming 1: You are likely to be eaten by a grue
A thread for the discussion of games: board, LARP, MMORPG, video, tabletop RPG, game theory etc. etc. and all attendant news, developments and ancillary subjects thereof, as well as coordinating/scheduling games either online or IRL. All are welcome to chime in, talk about their favorite games or learn about gaming of any sort.
PLEASE TO WHITEFONT SPOILERS for video games, RPG modules or anything for which foreknowledge of events might lessen one's enjoyment of whatever gaming experience.
Kristin, I don't think you can merge the data. The 360 sees the profiles as effectively two people.
It might have been better to have upgraded your own profile to a full Live account and just changed the name to one that was available on Live. If that was possible.
Starting a new profile pretty much precludes being able to use your previous profile's data.
ND has just informed me that that's exactly what he did, so it's not an issue. Yay him!
Oh, and if you guys play Left 4 Dead, let me know so I can join in.
Kristin, jolly good.
Okay, back to things & stuff...
Oh, and Little Big Planet is a PS3 game, right?
Sean, yep
Oh man, those are great band names too!
We were playing Kingdoms in the hospital room, which is basically tic-tac-toe on steroids, but it has a castles and dragons theme. The nurse asked what it was, and said, "Oh, I thought maybe it was that Dungeons and Dragons game."
I did not mention that all the stuff for THAT game was in the closet, awaiting additional players to arrive.
I finished up Oblivion, well finished enough quest lines to feel finished. Since I had the game of the year edition, there are a lot of quest lines.
I started up Neverwinter Nights 2 which I gather is based on D&D 3.5 rules. Character creation and progression in D&D 3.5 appears to be several orders of magnitude more complex than the D&D I played many, many moons ago. I think it might be a bit of overkill for a computer game.

You are correct. 4.0 simplified it a bit.
