What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I know he'd love to play BSG, but am I right in thinking that if we do we should plan on it taking 4-5 hours? I've only played twice IRL.

If people haven't played before, it can take four hours, mostly because it takes a while to explain the game. Normally, it should take only two to three, but that's when turns are moving swiftly because people know what to do.

BSG

I can't help with the check or the die roll.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I have never played BSG irl.

I recently started playing Magic. In the past I usually had to be cajolled into it and I never really enjoyed playing. I have a theory about this.

You Magic folks have your favorite deck, the one you like to play with, your A deck. When you talk a newbie into playing you give us your B deck. And we lose.

Well the first time I expressed an interest in playing, D suggested I build my own deck. He pointed me at the Wizards website and I found an article called 'Building your first deck'. I followed the guidelines and Won my First Game!

Laga I haven't played Magic in a very long time, but it does help to have your own deck and figure out what works best. I played with my then boyfriend and his/our friends and they were always making different decks and trying wild things. I just stuck with the mine and did fairly well.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

What sparked my interest in trying Magic again was the documentary "Nerdcore Rising". In one scene the bass player from MC Frontalot brings a girl back to his room and sits down to play Magic but he spends over an hour explaining the rules. It's supposed to be funny but I sat there thinking, maybe I should give that game another chance.

I had fun playing, the guys would get all complicated and had different decks for different things they wanted to do, or to play against different types of decks. I just had my Red/Green where I knew what my cards could do.

I really miss it and miss playing RPGs, but I'm not sure how to get hooked back into all of that.

Oh, I was always so annoyed by people who had specialist decks. I had my Black/Red deck and I occasionally kicked the specialists' decks. I hate the people who have to run every stat for an hour before they'll sit down to actually play the game.

BSG (Dr. Dector)

Help me out folks, both options sting. It sounds like not many can help with the skill check. Can anyone help with the die roll?

BSG (Call me confused)

I can't help with the skill check.

I'm a little confused on the die roll - can someone explain generally what would help with that?
