Nice to know for sure you are human, sir. I can only be an ordinarily effective pilot for a while, but I wouldn't mind shooting at these raiders. OTOH, if we can take out the basestar now we might have fewer raiders to shoot at in the future. Really depends on the upcoming crisis what's better, so whatever you feel like is okay with me.

Exactly. We didn't get a jump icon, so who knows how long we'll be here? No sense shooting down Raiders if the basestar will just spit more out. Kill the source.

Good shootin', Admiral! But I can only help a little with the check, which seems to be a common sentiment. Not sure if we can pass it, although it would be great to. No jump prep yet!

I can help us to not fail if we go for the skill check. It sure would be nice if we could pass it. This would be a good time for Tigh (or someone) to say something like "I got this, we are totally passing this check".
Looks like I'll probably be in sick bay soon. I'd rather not be stuck there for too long, people with upcoming turns. In case you were wondering.

Given the number of cards we all have, I doubt any white knights swooping in. Given that, I can help a fair amount. I can also help those folks singing the blues to sing major chords (wink wink... Ya get what I'm saying).
That to say, I'd hate to take another hit to morale, let's go with option 1.
