Ok, I now have everything except Cally's starting draw. Once I receive that, we're good to go!

Sorry to be late, and I won't try to start up this round, but what do you need to play this game?

A duplicitous heart and an internet connection. It helps to own the game itself, but it's not necessary. As GM, I'm happy to offer support as needed.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Stick around and watch this round, Connie. You can ask questions and get a general feel for play. Some of the game happens in email, for secrecy and copyright issues, but bt will probably agree to send you the game email stuff if you want.

BSG (Apollo, the man around here)

Well all right, let's get this party started. I see there's some raiders out there who want to dance, so I'll do what I do best. I move to Sector 1, and I play my Max Firepower to attack raiders as many times as needed to blam blam that metal out of my skies.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

billy, if you could send me what's required for rolls and skills and stats et al

There's nothing like that. billytea rolls the die when required, and he sends you all the information you need to know. It's not a D&D-type game.

As PC says, BSG is a board game first and foremost. There are two teams (humans and Cylons), one of which will win and the other lose. However, it's pretty rich with theme, and as everyone plays a character from the TV series, there's good opportunity for role-playing (if the players want to make use of it). The different characters have mechanical differences too - they each have a special ability, as well as a stronger ability they can use only once per game. They each have a weakness too - for instance, Dee is better at moving the civilian ships than the other players; but she is also emotionally fragile. If Morale drops to 2, she offs herself.

I have some files I send the players. I'll send you one of them; it has a pdf file, a couple of pages long, that explains the premise and how the game flows. You can have the other files if you want too, but they're more for reference than straight reading material.

Meanwhile, Apollo attacks the raiders with EXTREME PEW-PEW!! Results:

Fire 1: 6. Hit!
Fire 2: 3. Hit!
Fire 3: 3. Hit!

That clears the sector of raiders. Apollo has one shot left and only one viable target, so I assume he'll fire at the basestar. Does anyone want to play an SP? Everyone, please pass or play.
