That is true. Fire at each one and hope for the best? Or if Gaeta has Calculations, he could maybe decrease your roll if it would harm the civvies? I think that only happens at 8. Which means maybe if you do nuke, don't make a plan?
I think we need to get rid of at least one basestar now because Boomer's turn is next, and she could activate both of them and pummel us. Really, if we get some good hits on the basestars, we may be able to wait out the jump cycle, Boomer notwithstanding.

That is correct; on an 8+, the nuke destroys everything in the sector. It's very exciting!

I'm thinking it would be best to just use weapons control to fire twice. Let's start with the basestar in sector 3.

Sounds like a plan. If you get a critical hit, I'd say just eliminate it entirely; otherwise, try to damage the other one. The good thing about hitting basestars is they become less functional!
