BSG
That wasn't so bad.
Make sure we send some octagonal balloons to sickbay.
BSG(Brave Sir Bobbin)
Well, no point in hanging around guarding empty space. I guess I could follow the civvies, since they're all in one sector now.
Or....I could discard to hit FTL and execute the getting-us-the-hell-out-of-here maneuver.
Thoughts?
BSG (Tory)
I'm in favor of jumpiung early
BSG (Tigh, Fight 'Er)
I don't think we should risk 3 Population. I think we should get one more jump prep before jumping early. If we get jump prep on Boomer's turn, we jump on my turn.
Boomer, you could follow the civvies and Scout for a jump icon (and/or keep the basestar from firing). That is my recommendation. (Alternatively, discard to work the Engine Room, but that would be a lot of cards.)
BSG (Tory of the Foster Torys)
I see your point, your Tighness.
BSG (Ellen, a Handbasket)
Honestly, if we get a jump icon AND the Raiders don't activate, I wouldn't be against waiting for an auto-jump. I think that since we're headed to New Caprica, we're going to have to keep a tighter eye on Population.
BSG (Tory? yes!)
That makes sense. I wasn't thinking about how a different objective demands a different strategy.
BSG
I'm really interested to get to New Caprica and see how it works in practice. I mean, assuming we even get there with a chance. 7 Distance is still pretty far.
The thing about New Caprica is that it's all about preparing and evacuating civvies. So I'm glad we destroyed a decoy and don't have to waste any time evacuating an empty ship. I think we need to keep Morale and Population as high as we can because those are the resources hit hardest on New Caprica. I mean, those are good to keep up in a normal game too, but especially so now.
BSG(Boom-Boom-Bah)
Hmm. Well, I suppose it's a risk worth taking. We should definitely go on -1, though, with this many ships in the sky. Remember, we've got Gaeta's reroll.
I will
Move to Sector 5 and LS-1 the Crisis Deck.
Don't forget the recon this time.
