Gods, I hope so.

They haven't come out with a Mal-proof set yet, huh?
While Mal has gotten much better, esp. with the new "no-fail" and "freeform" settings on RB2, we can all blame my DH, our drummer, for killing the original drums.
The PC/NPC thing is interesting to me too, esp. since one of the gamer guys said that he thought Blizzard folks could "inhabit" any of the NPCs in WoW if they wanted, at least the level bosses. I don't know whether that's true or not, but I wonder how long it would take an observer to tell. And I wonder if a possessed NPC could leave their prescribed area.
I was thinking that I might host an offsite where we play pen-and-paper D&D, as I think watching the game mechanics happen in meatspace might be more clear for the folks. Since, as much as it totally should, my company does not have a gaming room.

We had a wonderful 4e game yesterday. Gamer friend brought his new wife and she fit right in with the group. Nephew brought his new double d6 which I had to keep stealing to roll damage because it is too cool. Some of us leveled up and it was really easy. Unless I missed something I was done in two minutes. I think 4e is growing on me.
We had a crappy Savage Worlds game Sunday. We are playing the Freeport Trilogy, which is awesome (Call of Cthulhu plus pirates by way of D&D), but we just totally brainlocked. And the dice failed us. I haven't had to put a die in the penalty box in a long time.

Take THAT, Jack Thompson!
I can't remember if I posted this here or not, but there's a social network for gamers: [link]
Pros: You can take quizzes.
Cons: It's all console gamers, and is basically a dating site / marketing research cover.
ION, Rock Band 2 has a LOT more clothes to buy, including a kilt.
Damn you. Now I must have Rock Band 2.
ROCK BAND 2 IS AWESOME. It has the Go-Go's and Journey and and and....
WANT!
Also in that column: Little Big Planet.
I saw the SciFi channel look at Dead Space over the weekend. Apparently putting Ben Browder in an infommercial can at least temporarily make me want to buy anything, as I don't own an Xbox 360 (or any other electronic game device) and have never been interested in first person shooter games.
