I saw the SciFi channel look at Dead Space over the weekend. Apparently putting Ben Browder in an infommercial can at least temporarily make me want to buy anything, as I don't own an Xbox 360 (or any other electronic game device) and have never been interested in first person shooter games.

I will be playing that tonight!
So, does anyone have recommendations for Nintendo DS games for nine-year-old girls?
Anybody here played Call of Cthulu? Any good? I have a friend in a campaign who insists it's right up my alley, and I am kinda jonesing for some kind of FRP, so I thought I'd ask those who might know.
Frank- I only played CoC once, but from all the discussions I have with friends who are fans of the game the important thing to remember is don't get too attached to your character. He will either die (most-likely in thoroughly horrible way) or go insane. Period.
The longstanding joke is that it's the only game in which the most effective trait for character survival is running speed.
It is great for mood if you like the old Pulp horror stories. Just be cool with the concept that Things Will Not End Well.
I am a veteran Call of Cthulhu player and DM, and Frank, it is totally up your alley. I can't believe you've never played it!
It's not the kind of game where you are going to build a character up to level 70...there are no levels per se, but mostly, the best outcome is a meaningful death.
And I would say that sanity/power is the best trait for character survival, as the only thing you can really outrun is another PC when he goes crazy.
Little Big Planet: I still haven't figured out the "game" aspect of it. It's adorable, but unless the people building stuff are good game designers it seems like it's just puzzles to mess with.
So my brother forgot to bring Dead Space. But I played Assassin's Creed for six hours instead. Which is really fun with the free-running and the killing. And the Kristen Bell!
Huh, I thought I'd posted a response already. Anyway, thanks for the feedback on CotC. Things Not Ending Well is something I can be cool with.
I beat Assassin's Creed last night. Or this morning. I was up till 6. I'd say the game took me about 15 hours, maybe less. It's definitely fun but incredibly repetitive. The whole game is basically the same thing over and over and over.
