Laga, I found Tory to be a pretty good President. If the other players trust her to give XOs she becomes a Quorum-playing card-drawing machine. One XO with the right Quorum cards can practically refill her hand. Her weakness never came up while I was playing her, and really I'm not sure how often it does. (Remember, it only affects Current Player's Choice, not President's Choice or Admiral's Choice)

Your initial draw is constrained by the number of cards you normally draw. Since you normally draw only 1 Purple, you can't start with more than that.

I have everyone's card draw, so cards are going out. I also have almost everyone's votes, except Boomer's. There are some issues which have already achieved a majority vote (notably the loyalty and Destiny decks - Exodus rules and modified deck respectively), so we can keep setting up; but not every issue has yet been determined.
Boomer, I'll deal your cards out once I've sent everyone else their starting draw and set up Destiny. Once you've sent your votes, you can post your move and action and we'll be underway.

All the votes are now in. Results:
Destiny: By a vote of 4-1, we will use the modified, 18-card destiny.
Loyalties: By a vote of 3-2, we will use the Exodus loyalties. There will always be at least one card left in the loyalty deck, and executed characters get a new loyalty card for the replacement.
Nukes: By a vote of 4-1, we will use the Cylon Fleet nukes. The nukes have a chance of destroying everything (hostile and friendly) in the sector at which it is fired. (In the words of P-C, "because that's how nukes WORK".)
Investigative Committees: By a vote of 3-2, we will use the standard game ICs, which reveal Destiny.

Tough choice to start with, sir, really testing the old mettle there. Since we've just got the one (potentially questionable) pilot and all, I recommend going with the population hit. We don't really like all those people, anyway, right, and hey, a few fewer mouths to feed.
