I'm in. My time might get a little constrained during the Halloween installation next month, but I won't be on a ship, so it shouldn't be too bad.
Maybe I won't be a cylon this time. You know, for a change.
A thread for the discussion of games: board, LARP, MMORPG, video, tabletop RPG, game theory etc. etc. and all attendant news, developments and ancillary subjects thereof, as well as coordinating/scheduling games either online or IRL. All are welcome to chime in, talk about their favorite games or learn about gaming of any sort.
PLEASE TO WHITEFONT SPOILERS for video games, RPG modules or anything for which foreknowledge of events might lessen one's enjoyment of whatever gaming experience.

I will still suspect you.
And I you. Don't make me shoot you in the face again.
I'm in! I wanna be a Cylon this time.
School is starting up again in a few weeks, which means my brain/time will be super scattered. If you are in need of an additional person, I will step up.
Me! I'm back! School will be starting up so I'll be busy, but more predictably busy than over the summer.
Ok! Places are filling up quickly, that's what I like to see. I think this is the situation so far:
Polter Cow
NoiseDesign
chrismg
Liese (welcome back!)
Laga - in, but will step aside if someone else wants in
omnis - out, but will step in if needed to make a game
Have I missed anyone?

While we enjoy this brief hiatus, I wanted to start up the discussion on the game elements we'll use for the next flight of the Buffistica. Our last couple of games have used the base game, as well as the standard elements of both the Pegasus and Exodus expansions. I think that's worked pretty well. However, we can change things up for the next game if people want. Options:
1. Go retro. We can take out Exodus, or Pegasus, or both, to make a simpler game. Our first six games (I think) all just used the base game.
2. Add moar. Both Pegasus and Exodus have mroe options that we could try if people wanted some more variety. A very fast recap of what's available:
Pegasus
New Caprica.
You head for New Caprica instead of Kobol. At Distance 7, you wind up there, on a new gameboard, under Cylon occupation. After one jump cycle, Galactica returns and you have one last shootout. Once the Admiral's happy with the number of civvies rescued, he orders the final jump.
Cylon leaders:
One player takes Cavil, Leoben or Six. They have a hidden agenda, which sees them favouring one team or the other,
and
there's another condition they have to meet as well.
Exodus
Conflicted Loyalties.
Some "You are not a Cylon" loyalty cards now carry an extra sting. You might have a Personal Goal that sees you working against the crew (or risk a resource); or you might be one of the Final Five. If anyone else finds out, Bad Things Happen. This is an easy expansion to include, but it's firmly biased towards the Cylons.
Cylon Fleet Board.
Replaces the crisis attack cards. Instead, the Cylons are always in relentles pursuit, and when they reach the end of the pursuit track, in they jump. Jumping away earns a respite, but anything not destroyed will still find you again. The humans get some extra tools for the job, like better Vipers and a new office, that of CAG.
Ionian Nebula.
Players are heading for a Crossroads at Distance 8. Along the way, you can accumulate trauma. Gain too much, and you may not survive the Crossroads. There are also allies scattered in locations around the fleet. Encountering them could help, or hurt. (THIS OPTION INCLUDES PLAYER ELIMINATION.)
I have my own opinions about the various expansion options, but I'll run anything. Let's get a conversation started. Do people want more? Want less? Just want ND to not be a Cylon this time?
ND could be the Cylon leader!

I am game for any of them. Either or both of the Pegasus options would be fun to try out. The Exodus ones seem more complicated for now.
I want to be Six!
