This is actually why we have a "let's just play it through once" rule. The first game doesn't count, unless there's only one player new to the game, and then all the other players have to help the n00b.

I disbelieve the apology was real. Unlike the initial swipe by Goldfarb, I have yet to see a link to the apology on an official McCain blog page, so I don't believe Goldfarb actually issued it. I don't believe Goldfarb would actually know what the six basic attributes are, or have a sens of humor that functions like that. I think some other blogger with real knowledge of D&D and funny made up the apology and attributed it to Goldfarb, and now it's getting passed around the blogosphere.
Also, I made my will save.
