I do have another repair card. It would be painful to discard to get back to Pegasus but it's possible.

I'd put killing the basestar under "good idea but not critical." As far as Cylon Attacks go, 33 is annoying but not dangerous by itself.(One basestar + raider activation)

Someone could always hit FTL. Mr Gaeta can make that less risky than it might be. We've still got Weapons Control to shoot basestars with while the CIC is out of commission.
I would not love to be out of cards again so quickly.
