You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

My love for Red Dead Redemption continues to grow. I just noticed that my horse tells me when others horses are near. It didn't sink in until today, but he made the noise that means other horses are around, then we came up over a rise and they were right there. I'm not positive but I bet I'll start noticing this was a purposeful design choice. If so: well done Game Developers for including such a teensy wonderful detail.

This thread moves slow when we ain't fighting cylons.

I'd like to share a (imo) clever thing I did last night running D&D.

One player flaked out and we're at a nexus in my campaign where the party has several decisions to make and I didn't want them to be made without the whole party present so I sent the reamaining players into a dream where they had to fight symbolic representations of their character struggles.

Our cleric used Religion to determine that they were experiencing something akin to a religious vision but then our Rogue used Streetwise and explained this it was actually much more like a narcotic hallucination. At the end they woke up and I gave them a wisdom check to see how much they remembered and then assigned a percentage of the XP based on how well they did on that check. Everyone gushed at me & I got to play around with dreams. (At one point a character killed off a grimlock minion whose face turned into that of his missing girlfriend who said, "don't forget your towel" before collapsing in his arms)

Forgot to give a shout out to the Dungeon Delve book for helping me plan a session in 20 minutes.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

This thread moves slow when we ain't fighting cylons.

On which note, who's in for the next game? Not sure when exactly it'll start, probably not until this weekend at least, later if people have other commitments. Nonetheless, start it will. Who wants to be aboard?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

That`s kinda brilliant, Laga.

I am out of the next round. My summer schedule is unpredictable. But I would like to observe again.

Anything for a weird life.

This is a question to a specific person but I'd feel odd sending it as an email or anything, so I figure this is as good a place as any:

Pete (Husband of Jilli), do you play Magic, and if so, do you have a self-themed deck with Unhinged cards like this one? [link]

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Finally got caught up here. Being able to tear through the BSG game posts in about the speed the game would be played tabletop was pretty cool. That was some high drama (and some nice wise-cracking from both teams as well) in that game.

ION, I've finally been playing Dragon Age: Origins (I bought it when it first came out, but never took the time to sit down and play it.) Beat it once with an elf mage (and I love how your character's race/class has an effect on how some people treat you) and I'm playing through again with a human rogue, making some different choices. Also trying to use some different characters in my party for the banter/reactions to different NPCs.

Also decided to emotionally harden a couple of the characters the second time around after finding out it could be done to see what the difference is, but I felt like a complete jerk-face doing it. Especially with Leiliana Just having to say something callous to the one character wasn't so bad. But have to sit there and be emotionally manipulative with the other made me literally cringe.
