OK wait, so even though I'm in the brig I can play the CS to pass the brig check and because passing means moving to any location, I still have an action left?

Yeah, the downside to maneuvering now to get you out later is Cally running interference. Let's not wait.
Free Kat now! You'd think as Pradmiral I would be able to just open the doors.
BSG
I am pretty sure that's how it works! You don't move. You use one action to pass the brig check. If you pass, you get to move. And then you have another action left! And using the Main Batteries to take out all those Raiders would be pretty brilliant. Then we could focus on the Centurions.
Of course, if you fail the brig check, you will also still have an action left to scout something, I suppose.
BSG
Better conditions for prisoners now! I mean- let me out now!
I want to make sure I'm interpreting the CS correctly so if it's not true that I can use it to get another action after I am sprung, I don't play it. Otherwise
I play a CS-4 to not move and instead Activate the Brig Spring me and I shall rain furious vengeance upon cylon ass!
BSG
I'm not sold on moving to Main Batteries. I have a couple piloting cards that are just as awesome and it'd be nice to have all the pilots in the sky if we get another cylon attack.
BSG
Well, in checking the rules on the CS debrigging maneuver (I haven't found a clear answer yet), I see that when you get out of the brig you can move to anywhere on Galactica only, so my Main Batteries idea will not fly. But you could go to the Armory and maybe take out a centurion.
BSG
or the hangar deck and maybe take out all the remaining raiders. I'm just sayin'.
BSG
Yeah, I was thinking the hangar deck in my original fantasy, really.
BSG
Sure, that'd be a fine thing. That whole launching-gets-a-bonus-action thing confuses me, so I tend not to use it in my theoretical plans.
Eta: so, skill check. How about a Support the People interrupt, helpful?
BSG
Apollo is fantasizing about me on the hangar deck.
