(Dude, I totally don't blame you. You got SHOT IN THE FACE! I think it testifies to what a compelling game this is, though, because of how caught up we all get. You have my player condolences for your fake-death!)

(It's not like there's an excessive amount of role-playing in this game. It's not part of the actual gameplay. But since we're playing characters we know, we naturally have a little bit of connection to them, and it makes the game more interesting and fun to treat the game as if the characters are the actual crew facing these challenges. I think of everyone as and refer to everyone by their characters, not their players.
And because this online game takes a lot longer than a real-life game, there's a much stronger connection. I've been Starbuck for WEEKS. I have been focused on Starbuck's card draw, Starbuck's abilities and weakness. And now I'M NOT STARBUCK ANYMORE AND I HAVE TO BE CHIEF. I AM GOING TO HAVE AN IDENTITY CRISIS.
Plus, you know, it was sudden. It's always sudden.)

Plus, you know, it was sudden. It's always sudden.
Especially when being shot IN THE FACE.
Now we learn the real reason Cally had to shoot Starbuck. She'd been standing in the way of Cally's man. Chief Galen Tyrol joins the crew, in (would you believe it) the Hangar Deck, to find his wife standing over Starbuck's remains. (I'll take awkward reunions for 200, Alex.)
I can think of no crisis more appropriate at this juncture than this:
Loss of a Friend
Skill Check (9 YG)
Interrupts: IC, SR, Reckless. Everyone (except Tigh and the Chief, who have no cards), please pass or play. You can also vote to TANK the check if you wish. Finally, I encourage everyone to send me COs (if it's not tanked).
BSG
I can't help on this check. I only have one thing that would count towards it and I can't play just one card.

Administrative note: both P-C and -t have advised that they'll be out of contact for part of the coming week. That means we'll probably have some delays until next weekend. I'll keep things moving as feasible, but I trust no one will mind if things get held up here and there.

Gah, our Morale is starting to take hit after frakking hit. This is not good.
BSG
Holy frakking felgercarb!
Smells like cabbages in here.
My cabbages!
I can help a little with the skill check and maybe keep the bad stuff from triggering if we get close enough without going over.
Cally is definitely a cylon, guys. Let's focus on our anger and getting her the frak off our ship. Besides, Starbuck was kind of a bitch, amirite?

Yeah, a partial pass is all we really need. Save the Morale; disable Cally.

I feel like a new man, but I have this weird, niggling sense that I HAVE BEEN SAYING THAT FOR A WHILE NOW.
D is playing Final Fantasy XIII. Holy cow the pretty! But I'm worried about how his avatar's sword keeps bumping the backs of her thighs when she runs. She's going to get sores.
BSG
No interrupts.
I can help a little.
Administratively, I will also be intermittent this week.
