although I assure you I am not a cylon, I understand if you don't want to make the tacitcal risk of XOing me.
BSG
Indeed, Madame President. Always have a flask at hand.
So, an XO could get Kat to Sector 4 with one shot on a toaster. Communications could move A & B, Command could move RSVs from 5 to 4. And you might have a Quorum card that could come in handy, I suppose. Lots of options!
BSG
An XO to Kat would be the best option. And now that you bring it up, I actually think Command would be better than Comms. The RSVs can protect those civvies through one complete Activation. If we move the civvies to me, I can only take one hit, and then the second Raider could take a civvie, PLUS the basestar would be spitting out more Raiders right on top of them. It may be better to move the RSVs to Sector 4, and then I can join them on my turn.
But an XO to Kat is still the best option, since she could actually shoot at one of those Raiders and possibly even ensure a hit.
BSG
oops, I read the roster wrong. Yes, XOing me could work out very well although I don't have any particularly nifty piloting cards at the moment.
Stephen just finished Dragon Age II and... DAMN.
(I played for one day and decided that I would never get work done again if I kept going: not allowed to play further until I finish a couple of gigs, damn it.)
Also, did I mention DAMN.
BSG
Hm. Yeah, I was confused for a bit there.
I
move to the President's Office
and
play XO-1 on Kat.
Get in the skies, girl, and kick some ass!
BSG
Kat, you've received an XO. You may either move and take an action, or not move and take two actions. When you're ready, please post your orders.
BSG
I'm going to
Launch
into Sector 5 and then
move
to 4 whereupon I will
FIRE
on one of the raiders.
Would someone please remind me what the combat rules are as far as die rolls to destroy raiders? I haven't decided if I want to use my Special Ability yet.

That's a decision I can help with: you can only use it on your own turn. (An XO grants you an action, not an action phase.)
As for the combat rules, it's pretty simple. If you get 3 or more on a d8, raider go boom. Otherwise, it mocks you. Oh, it mocks you. Die roll can be modified by SP before the fact or a Calcs after the fact. Aaand would you look at that, I have a d8 right here! Just to confirm, then, you'll attack one raider?
A little more about this: as a standing CO, I will not wait for an SP for attacks on raiders. If you have an SP and would actually like to use it on a raider attack, send me a CO. Likewise, I won't wait for SPs on scouting rolls, at least while you have more than two raptors.
So. Roll the die?
