You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

BSG

How's that? Cylons don't get nukes.

No, the Admiral's nukes have a chance of destroying civilian ships. Though Cylons can get nukes, specifically "Inbound Nukes".

Anyway, I have COs and everyone passes on SPs. The Admiral is undaunted and fires anyway!

Die roll = 8! Admirals don't need no steenkin' SPs! Basestar and 3 raiders are destroyed, and Christmas is saved!

However! Firing a nuke into a sector with a civilian ship sees Cain facing charges of reckless endangerment. Her cries of "No, they never hit civvies! See, I rolled an 8!" go unheeded as someone, somewhere, declares:

Code Blue
Current Player's Choice

Admiral, when you're ready, please post your choice.

Edit: sorry Anders, I jumped the gun there. Your orders did come in before I rolled, so I'll apply your SP to the nukage. Result becomes 10, which still visits fiery destruction upon the Cylons.

But I'm so happy, I just want to share my joy! Makes me feel like singing. Don't you hear that music?

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

BSG

If I go with the skill check I can only help a little. I'll pause for input.

It looks like either way we're frakked, card-wise. The skill check is pretty high (we just failed a lower one), and we'd probably have to burn at least 2 cards per person to have a shot anyway (except for Cain, obvs, who can only help a little as it is). Even if we pass it, Cain only gets to look at one Loyalty card, so even if she does pick the right person, she might not actually pick the Cylon card (this would have an easier choice before the Sleeper phase, when we could have found out Boomer), and that would have been a colossal waste of cards. My Cylon Detector looks at ALL Loyalty cards and comes with a 100% money-back guarantee.

Or we discard two cards (at least we get to choose them) and pick up Treachery (and give Boomer more Treachery), which is also bad. But I think we'd end up losing more cards in the skill check when you take into account interrupts and whatnot.

I can only help a little because I wasted that SP. Again I say, harumph.

In other news, yes, someone definitely did spike the last check. I excluded destiny for that reason, to discourage a spike or at least to make it clear, and it's clear. Boomer spiked with Treachery; she's the only one who drew it. All the rest of us draw green, so it could have been anyone. Cally & I both played two cards, so we would have been offsetting ourselves, although that's possible.

By the numbers, it's most likely to be Baltar, who is now offering to check loyalties, hmm. I had suspicions of him before the halfway point; and now that Boomer handed him the rest of her loyalty cards, well, that didn't ease my mind any.

It's what I do! Are you really going to blame me for wanting to use my OPG, especially now that we've got a spiked check? Hell, I deliberately waited until post-Sleeper because someone who checks out Human pre-Sleeper could be Cylon post-Sleeper, and then my OPG was not as useful as it could have been.

I had suspicions of him before the halfway point

I'll admit I made some bad decisions (GODSDAMN YOU BOOMER), but I assure you they were not intentionally bad.

now that Boomer handed him the rest of her loyalty cards, well, that didn't ease my mind any.

I'll admit that having five Loyalty cards makes me a prime suspect, but—and this is P-C speaking—in the first game I played, I ended up with four Loyalty cards that all said NOT A CYLON. And this time I have five.
