COG news is unfortunately all bad. My agent gave up on COG and we have parted ways. Not sure where to go with COG. I feel like it's good (and I got positive feedback from editors, just not a sale), but it's been shopped.
I still have a load of notes from my ex-agent and her intern on DRAGONFIRE (working title) so I may work on shaping it up and querying it.
So, uh, I sold my favorite story to The Book Smugglers, which means I get pro rates and royalties and cover art and an ISBN and a Kindle/Kobo/Smashwords/etc listing and I can't believe this is really happening.
Arg, Gud. I'm really sorry to hear this, as I liked Cog very much. Is it something you might explore for self-publishing? Best of luck with Dragonfire. And finding a great fit with your next agent.
PC, wonderful news! Congratulations!
I'm sorry about COG, Gud. Sometimes it's just not the right time for something. But fingers crossed on Dragonfire!
Congratulations, P-C! When does it come out?
Gud, my uncle just this last week sold a novel that he had been trying to sell for over a decade. Not only that, but he sold it to one of the publishing houses he most wanted to work with. As Amy said, it might not be the right time for something. There may, however, come a time that
is
right.
Gud, I'm sorry about COG. Best of luck moving forward.
Congratulations, P-C! When does it come out?
They're shooting for June. I have a small flash piece coming out in March, and I have no idea when
Genius Loci
is coming out,
or when my
Fireside
story will appear. But I have four stories coming out this year, what the hell.
Gud, wishing you the best of luck with COG.
I'm sorry to hear about COG, Gud. I hope it's right time does come.
Congrats, P-C! Four stories is most impressive!
That's a bummer about COG, Gud. Better luck with Dragonfire.
P-C, that rocks dude! I'll watch for the story on Kindle. That's Genius Loci, right?
