not your mom's socks.

Excellent story, Sox. As I expected.

You are the first person to say this to me. I didn't realize I'd been holding my breath.

Thank you so much for that.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Dream dialog fragment

Victorious hero: "Show her to him. Let him see what the goddess he worshiped really was."

Defeated villain (unflinchingly glances at corpse of the monster, then says coldly): "I never worshiped her. I sacrificed to her. Just business."

My first thought was "Damn, that's a huge cast! I should hope somebody could write a compelling story about that many people--oh, wait."

Always Anti-fascist!

About a chapter(or two) from finishing the second draft of novel. It's good in places, not terrible overall--I mean, after about two years I wish I were totally in love with it, but it's long and it actually has a beginning, middle, and end, which were stumbling blocks in the past.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Go erika! Finishing the second draft and not hating it thoroughly sounds pretty awesome to me.
