Cool!
The Great Write Way, Act Three: Where's the gun?
A place for Buffistas to discuss, beta and otherwise deal and dish on their non-fan fiction projects.
Nifty, Amy! Try to comply with moral norms more than Burroughs, I guess.
Good advice.
Yay, AMY!!
I hope one day it sells to France so I can at least pretend to read it. Very interested to see what a Turkish cover looks like, too.
Oh excellent Amy! Congratulations!
Open submission window for Machine of Death 2 start soon: [link]
Loved the first one, especially erinaceous's story.
Can I get a beta reader for a sanity check? It's a (very rough, unfinished) sitcom pilot, ideally for HBO or Showtime.
Here's a smaple. Let me know if you want to read more.
Zach is in The Gaming Chair, at a 45degree angle to the screen, intensely focused. His eyes never leave the screen as his fingers fly from button to button to trigger to stick. Daisy enters, talking on her Bluetooth and eating a tootsie-roll pop. She’s wearing thong undies and a white sleeveless undershirt. As she talks she begins frisking Zach. She reaches in his overshirt pocket and he angles around to allow her easy access. She tries his t-shirt and he tchas as her forearm momentarily obstructs his view but shifts around to let her in.
Daisy
…no that’s what I’m saying. He has every right to make that choice as a director. I respect his choice, hell I think it’s a beautiful choice, but you have to think about the meta experience for the moviegoer. You can’t just serve the story…
Zach sighs and pauses the controller, then drags a one hitter out of his front jeans pocket, handing it to her with an eyeroll before returning to his game.
Daisy
Yes, on rewatch, yes but that first time in the movie theatre, I’ll never get that back and I feel like he wounded me. Personally.
Daisy leans over Zach’s shoulder practically mashing her tit in his face to reach the dugout next to the game console. She starts loading herself a hit.
Dream last night: book series (soon to be a BBC mini-series) "The Tragic Detective"about a woman who solves a crime, dies young and who we then meet in her next reincarnation. (The meta of the "dying young" thing is so that she can be born as many times as possible in a century.)
More of a series gimmick than a real shaper of series content, but if it appeals, help yourself.
Man, Typo, your dreams are so detailed...all I ever get is a train going through a tunnel.
