Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

“Not dead yet!”

Amy, that's BEAUTIFUL! I liked the Original Recipe version of the cover, but this one is so much more evocative.

YAY, you!!!

“Not dead yet!”

Yanno...

This whole cutting stuff out wholesale is infectious.

Days after the word massacre, I had a ginormous brainstorm that still doesn't change MUCH of the first half of the manuscript, but really changes the second half monumentally.

Hell, it changes the whole original concept of the story.

Now, to outline it and see if I can make it work.

I'm in chapter 6 of Cog now and I've got just about 11,000 words, it's moving along well. The problem is that I'm enjoying working on Cog so much that I haven't been doing any more query letters.

I'm going to have to make myself do one at some point. I've got to decide between the old pitch and the new pitch though. The old pitch has the advantage of already being written.
