Word can do that with 'track changes' as can Open Office though I don't know how off-hand.
In Word 2007 you can also compare two documents which I actually prefer to tracking changes.
as can Open Office though I don't know how off-hand.
I'll have to look into that when I get home. I like Word, but I'd love it if Open Office met all my needs.
Certainly Tommy! Plan is to send out a couple Friday pm.
I use Word, and a lovely Mac widget called Circus Ponies Notebook. Because I like to play with stickers and annotate.
I've done change tracking with Open Office so I know it's there, but I recall it not being especially intuitive.
I'll read a story or two if you send them my way, Sox. Profile addy is good, or we can work something out Dropbox-wise.
I've put up the first few paragraphs of the rough draft of my new project 'Cog' (YA Steampunk-ish fantasy) if anyone is curious.
Starting a new novel is fun.
cool -t, thank you!
So how does this work? If someone reads someone else's work, do they return some comments? Or is it better to mark up the document with comments?
I think, for now I'll send out pdfs or .docs, whichever is easiest for readers - and you can send back comments whichever way is easiest. Since this is my first time doing this in a long long while, I'm hoping I don't overburden/underinform/and generally don't annoy.
