Reynolds, I'm a dangerous-minded man on a ship loaded with hurt. Now, why you got me chatting with your peons?

Because books.

The "by the book" challenge is now closed.

This week's challenge is "torn."

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

My roommate reads Wizards of the Coast novels. The ones of which I've bothered to look at the covers seem to be based in the world of Dungeons & Dragons 3.5. I'm not sure, but I think they actually feature characters referenced in the rule books.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I was just looking at Knut's book on Amazon. I keep thinking we should have a Buffistas Write! link on the left side that links to all of our books...she says...selflessly...I swear...

Jilli's book will be coming out soon enough, and we're a pretty writey bunch. I'm proud of us.

Visilurking

Are you looking for someone to propose it? I'll do it if you want.

Our wings are not tired.

I think it is an excellent idea.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I think it's a great idea. I'm about to buy Buffista books with the $102(!) Amazon certificate I got for my saved change. I've already bought and given away a 5 or 6 of Allyson's book.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

There is a Buffista Bookshelf at Powell's linked on the links page, although we don't actually get money from them (someday I promise to look into the affiliate issue for real). I put some Amazon affiliate links to Buffista books in the literary thread a little while back. The problem with Amazon is, you can have a single link to, say, search results, but you can't make a single link to a bunch of stuff you've selected. As far as I know.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I keep giving copies of Vampire People away as gifts. It solves a couple of things--good gift, which is nice. And it also provides some insight into why I spend so much time online, and have such an emotional investment in my invisible friends.

I like the idea for the Buffistas Write! link.

Our wings are not tired.

It would be nice to have an area similar to those left side yellow box areas for Links and Filk. On the page could be links to writer web sites and/or Amazon links to titles. Just thinking on paper here since any page would have to be created and maintained by our beloved stompies.

eta: perhaps even Buffistas!Create because their might be some sculptors and musicians that could be included. Again, just tossing out ideas.

'Til we dance away...

This is probably a dumb question but does it matter to the writers where I buy my books? I bought Vampire People at B & N because I was impatient but is it better to buy through Amazon or someplace else? I'm not meaning our affiliate money, I mean for writerly benefit.
