If you take sexual advantage of her, you're going to burn in a very special level of hell. A level they reserve for child molesters and people who talk at the theater.

Very little progress as a result of spending entirely too much time on the Time-Warner tech-support line.

I've started into chapter 12 of 67 and I'm down 6,000 words.

I'm also getting concerned that chapters 35-67 are considerably weaker than 1-34 though I pretty much only have my own opinion on that. One problem with being the author is that I don't really know how it reads without knowing everything that is going to happen.

“Not dead yet!”

I'm getting a slight perverse amusement that the one love scene in this manuscript is the least marked up of any.

Either I'm really good or the CE just sort of skimmed on past...

I'm mostly cutting and rephrasing and not trying to fix the finer points, but already I'm starting to fear punctuation.

I did a bit of editing and added a blog post with an example of my edits. The next couple of posts will be explaining why I made the edits with the caveat that I am far from an expert, though I have learned tons since I started.

It's going to be a long time before I'm done yet.

I did another blog post (number 100) and more editing. I'm grinding my way through chapter 12 right now, still losing words.

I didn't have much time to work on it yesterday, so I'm still editing chapter 12.

Also, I'm trying to find a chunk I can cut out of the story, but that's proving hard. I've noted a few scenes that could be axed, but everything seems interconnected so it's hard to find a chunk. Maybe cutting a few scenes here and there and shortening up excessively long scenes (like one in Chapter 67 which I wanted to keep mentally speeding up when I listened to it).

At the moment I'm feeling encouraged and discouraged both. It seems like people like my MC, Aimee. My original MC, Curtis also appears pretty well liked. I'm a bit concerned about the MC's love interest, but there's not much data on him yet. The MC's sidekick seems to be invoking reactions I'm hoping for. And the big twist in the middle seems sufficiently shocking. On the discouraging front, I don't know about my description and detail, along with some other things.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Congrats all. I've been working in coalition on some environmental issues. And sometimes I get a bit irritated with the people I'm working with. (I'm sure they feel the same about me.) So I wrote this bit of nonsense to relieve my feelings. I'm sharing it because I think it really is kind of funny. I think Native Americans , and people who have spent enough time on this list to know some of the ways well-meaning white people annoy Native Americans will get a kick out of the opening.
