That sounds good, Barb.
Thanks, Liese. I look forward to seeing your assessment! I'm close to getting done with this draft of the second book. I thought I'd be done by now, but I got stuck and work has been getting in the way.

Minor progress on 55, had to work late.
I finished 55, but it's on a technicality. The chapter was getting go long that I split it and the part that became 55 was already done. Now I'm working on 56, but it's the same scene. At least I'm just working on finishing it off. Things are complicated between the MC and her love interest, action is so much more straightforward.
So far the script reads nicely, erika. The humor seems like its working. Unfortunately my utter lack of knowledge of the mechanics of scripts and complete lack of knowledge of the show mean my comments are going to be weak. I'll probably just accumulate bits I find funny. It's hard for me to find things that don't work because I don't know anything about the characters.
Writing update from me: book due April 1, not even close to done, but I'm feeling good about what I'm doing anyway.
And I read Chapter 4 aloud to my writers group last night and they loved it, which was awesome.
Still, many nerves over here. Deadline, I can feel you breathing down my neck ...
Oh, yay, Amy! And you can DO EEEEEEET!
We can stresswrite in tandem, since my agent is prodding me with sharpened pencils to get her a proposal for the new project.
Well, thanks. Knowing what's funny is good. Also, if a scene slows things down a lot or if I left someone standing around without accounting for him...you know, continuity things. Loose threads that don't pay off.
I'll keep a lookout. It's going to be slow because of the dual complication of work and trying to finally finish off my revision.
Speaking of revision, I suppose there is no right or wrong way to approach the next revision, but I think I may do a quick sweep and chop as much as I can. If the wordcount shrinks enough, I may go back to the one book strategy. If it doesn't then at least I'll have cut away some dead wood. Maybe I can tally up places that should be expanded from narrative to scenes on that sweep as well.
Good luck Amy!
Go Amy! Go Amy!
ION, my agent has not said anything about the GCS 2 proposal. Have I mentioned that I'm not good at waiting? Aaaaaaugh!
Deep breaths, Jilli. And cupcakes.
Almost done with chapter 56, I've just got a few tweaks and then it'll finally be done . . . for this revision.
Chapter 57 could be tricky too unfortunately. I think things will smooth out after that.
