I hate to break it to you, oh impotent one, but you're not the big bad anymore, you're not even the kind of naughty.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Was that Knut?

Because books.

It was another David? I'm not sure. I still want to get that book, though, whoever wrote it.

Here are some words I like that I think could be interpreted a lot of ways, and which would suit us:

dark
power
self
community
hero
face

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Yes, Knut wrote the superhero book. David Schwartz.

Thanks, Dana.

Speaking o' Dana, we have some rock star fic writers in here, though, I'm unsure we could lulu fic. How does that work?

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

What is lulu, anyway?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Are we doing *paid* or *published* writers only? 'Cause I qualify on both counts, though not recently. But there are well-expressed and thoughty people who are neither.

I don't think so, Bev. Just writers in general.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I like to think of myself as a writer. There might be a place for some nonfiction, and I did have a short story published in Asimov's and then anthologized.

What about online community as a subject?

“Not dead yet!”

I don't think that being paid or formally published should be any kind of requirement.

I do think we should avoid any fanfic (not the writers, just the fic itself) because of all the potential copyright infringement issues.

Also, I am not the boss of this, so i could be full o' shit. I just think it should be people who write, and write well.
