Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

It seems like an epic project to edit, though.

Because books.

You have not seem some of the mansucripts I've edited, especially lately. Believe me, this would be FUN.

Also, it's not like thirty-five people just jumped in here offering epic stories. We should talk about it and see who wants to participate.

And if people don't want me to edit it, I would ... not! No big. I'm just completely willing to do it and very good at organizing as well as editing.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I think with an anthology we wouldn't be looking for epic stories. Hee.

What kind of stories would we be looking for? Generally, anthologies have a theme.

“Not dead yet!”

I would be up for that.

And I've got stuff around that I could definitely expand upon. God, it would be FUN to write just for the fun of writing again. I think that's what I really need right now.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Oh, that is an intriguing idea. I can't promise I'd write something for it (although I would like to), but I would definitely buy it.

Because books.

I don't think we'd need a theme. It could just be a collection of short fiction. Or, like, "original writing under fifteen thousand words" or something.

Because books.

I also think it could take us a long time to consense on a theme. And if we did want to use one, it should be extremely broad -- like, "Buffistas Explore Darkness" not vampire stories, or even stories about goats, or what have you.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Buffistas explore vampire goats.

Because books.

For that I might be willing to make an exception ...

“Not dead yet!”

Buffistas explore vampire goats.

Only if they faint at the end.
