Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

I managed to get back to the place I was in 29 before ripping up a lot of it and redoing. I woke up all ready to work on it, but knew I wouldn't get a chance for at least 12 hours and realistically 15 hours. Frustrating.

I'm back on track for Chapter 29 and moving ahead. I feel like I'm burning through too many words getting to the ending, bringing up the specter of 31 chapters instead of 30. Look characters, I know you've got some personal and political issues to work out, but I've got an army I need to get moving.

Because books.

Have we seen this? Looks like an awesome way to waste time play with words and ideas.

In the home stretch, Gud! Awesome.

I got some good writing time last night. Chapter 29 is done. Now for the final chapter. Of course, it might the final two chapters if I decide to split it later. I'm now at 165,000 words.

Go, Gud! I am excited for you to finish the draft. Yay!

I keep having to go through the files of previous chapters to look stuff up. It's slowing me down. But I'm at least a third of the way through that final chapter.

Because books.

Oh, I always write in one continuous file. I'm way to lazy to merge them all later.

I just use a master document to tie them all together.

Fay by all means email me a copy if you wish. Profile addy is good. It may be few days till I get to it. Do you want only high level feedback or should I mention typos if I see them. (For someone who make so many friggin typos myself, I find myself surprisingly good at spotting them in others.)

So close now. I didn't manage to finish the rough draft this weekend, but I got about 7,000 words into the last chapter. Two or four scenes left depending out how you count them, so maybe another 2,000 - 3,000 words. Action always writes fast, and the last chapter is constant action.

I'll probably split the last chapter when I'm done with it. I've got a great spot for it to break. After the chapter a 1,000 word or so epilogue and rough draft will be complete.
