Simon: Captain... why did you come back for us? Mal: You're on my crew. Simon: Yeah, but you don't even like me. Why'd you come back? Mal: You're on my crew. Why we still talking about this?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I have no cake of any sort, but I do have a stomach ache, so lack of cake is probably for the best.

Noah does keep getting cuter and cuter.

Went out for ice cream with one of my friends today. That was fun -- I haven't seen her in close to a year, and she's pregnant and due any day now.

Also went to see the Sex and the City movie tonight, which was cute, which was about all I was expecting from it.

Do you need a bundt pan for Angel Food Cake?
Maybe not, but I need some kind of pan other than a normal glass 9X9, right?

Yeah, angel food cake needs either a tube pan or a bundt pan. I think it wouldn't rise properly in a regular square pan.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I'm so lazy, I'm not sure I have the energy to get up and take a bath. Need to soak my feet. So much walking today.

I got a book called Bad Rats personally autographed to my nephew, which I am unsure he'll care about. My SIL will think it's pretty cool. Also, a raccoon mask, and a poster of If You Give a Cat a Cupcake.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Now I want to eat here. It'll probably be a week before I'm free during their business hours.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

For the record, the craving's been supplanted by one for tender beef--either a thick soft steak or a tender slice of roast--served with rice, oddly white rice, tight, white, polished rice with a dab of butter on top. There's pâté on the steak, if it's steak, as well as bacon. Asparagus on the side. Cabernet to drink.

Not sure where that came from. I'm really distracted by the rice.
