Coming in late ... but cougar always struck me as moderately favorable - kind of, she's going after younger men and she gets them.
Silver fox is pretty much gender-neutral, but strikes me as mostly favorable - i.e., the hair's white, but they're attractive.
And years ago, chickenhawk was used of men who preyed on underage boys. Usage may have changed.

I think it started out that way, but I have heard younger men (the rugby boys, not sure if that's a representative sample), notice an attractive older woman across the bar and say "whoa, check out the MILF."
