ION....FIRST STEPS! Squee!!!
Woot!!!! L'il walkypants!!!!
First steps are awesome. To quote you, "YAY DYLAN!"
Some drunk chick at the Flamingo in Vegas, this morning at 1:00 AM as K was walking Noah around the gardens and fountains in a desperate attempt to get him to sleep asked if she could take a picture of the baby? WTF?
WTG Dylan!
Yay Dylan! So cute! And he looks just like you!
I just got my cousin's baby announcement, and that baby looks just like her family! Funny how that works.
Yay walking!
Noah is pretty darn cute, but still...
It took 2 hours, one panic when I thought I was short a critical screw, and a couple moments I really wished T was home to help, but I put together my new futon: [link] and detail: [link] (please ignore the current cover. It won't be permanent, but I want to protect the mattress. And I don't know what I want yet.)
Also please ignore the klassy paperbox "ottoman"/ cat seat. And the beat up Adams.
That's a very good looking futon.
Noah was not cute at 1:00 AM. Well, he was, actually, adorable but wigged out by Vegas.
Yay Dylan!
In other news, I was just wondering about the NBA playoffs, and right now it's Celtics/Pistons and Lakers/Spurs. What is this, the 80s??
One would think, but it's just not the same.
Also, Saturday night I was extremely bored and flipping between the hockey game and the basketball game, and the music choices were totally WTF? They played Men Without Hats during the hockey game, and I think I heard Journey 3 times between the two games. There was another 1980s song (which escapes me now) that made me wonder if they had even updated the arena music since 1989.
Go Dylan!
Sparky, what level was the yoga class?
It was a mixed class, advertised as being for all levels. I don't expect the instructors to spell out all the basics, but I've yet to find a yoga teacher here that offered any insight/substitutions/alternatives for people who couldn't do the full pose, even after they've heard everyone's injuries, or even come around and adjust me (I have kyphoscoliosis, so I know I'm not as straight as I think I am half the time). I think that when they introduce something new, I should hear what the goal is for my practice, and if I can't do what the teacher can do, s/he should have something else up their sleeve that will be the intermediate step to practice until I can.
I'll admit that I think of yoga as exercise, not as a meditative practice, so I'm all about what muscles I'm using.
Hey, is this a soapbox I'm standing on?
