OTOH, if you don't include "and guest" as an option for your single invitees, they're likely to RSVP for 2 anyway, so you may as well account for it when you're sending the cards out.
Really?? sheesh, people.

another hivemind question:
"upskill" real word or really horrible business speak.
incredibly horrible.
horrible. Plus it sounds like a combo of "upscale" and "Catskills"
OED claims it, but it is ugly and stupid and smells funny.
I vote "ew".
Horrible, although I kind of like its cousin "upsell," since it is such a pithy way to describe the whole "You want fries with that" thing.
"upskill" real word or really horrible business speak.
Dear god!
Is it meant to be a noun?
....surely not a verb?
I've been to a number of weddings where I wasn't closely connected to anyone who wasn't part of the wedding party - is that really that uncommom?
When it's someone who's part of your gang of old friends or you know the whole family or something, sure, a + guest is unnecessary and sometimes even awkward. If not, though, the prospect of being the lone single at a table of unknown couples may well be enough to make me decline the invitation.
THANK YOU! ok back to putting this document together.
